Argex thermosoil: fast, efficient and eco-friendly insulation
Principle
Argex thermosoil is an insulating, self-draining and durable backfill for use between floor slabs and the earth platform.
Argex thermosoil consists of a layer of loose Argex grains AR 8/16-340 (or AR 4/10-430) placed directly on firm ground which is water-permeable. The insulating Argex backfill is covered with a polythene sheet on to which a lightly reinforced concrete layer is poured.
Argex grains guarantee a ‘permanent, durable’ natural insulation without any seams, so thermal bridges shall not occur, thus resulting in a better thermal comfort.
Applicability
Thermosoils can be put in new buildings and renovation projects, in non-residential buildings such as schools, sports accommodations, theatres, shopping malls and office buildings, but also in industrial buildings and stables.
