Floors
Old houses often have a wooden floor construction on top of a crawl space or cellar. If these floors are in a bad condition, they are the first to be removed in renovation works. Then a layer of Argex grains is blown from a tanker till the desired level is reached. A finishing layer is put on top. The accessibility by tanker is an asset, but plastic bags or big bags can be used as well.
However, floors can also be in a good condition, but with subsidence. Also in this case one can choose to install new floors.
In this case the construction is as follows:
- put plastic sheet
- fill or level the subsidence with Argex AG 4/8-320 or AR 1/5-580
- smoothing is often done with a dry screed system
- finish off with sheets/hardboard (tongue and groove)
Walls
Intermediate floors
Flat roofs and terraces
Chimney elements of Argex concrete
But also: clean up crawl spaces, level out differences in height, fill old fuel tanks, water and septic tanks, pond filters, etc.
